ER309LSi is of the same chemical composition as ER309L, with higher silicon content to improve the bead appearance and increase welding ease.

This filler metal is used for welding of similar alloys in wrought or cast form. ER309LSi is mostly used for welding dissimilar materials such as mild steel to stainless steel, as well as for a barrier layer in stainless overlays. The weld beads are exceptionally smooth due to good wetting.

Suitable for joining stainless steels of the 304 type and 347 types.
Contains high silicon content along with low carbon content.
The higher silicon level provides better arc stability and a smoother bead appearance.
Conforms to certification: AWS A5.9 and ASME SFA A5.9.

We use a variety of carriers for shipments. Title and risk of loss pass to customer upon tender of shipment to carrier.

Shipping Policy Exceptions

Not all products qualify for the above Shipping Policy. Additionally, standard shipping rates apply for all orders delivered to Alaska and Hawaii. Any charges incurred for hazardous materials or other special handling by the carrier must be paid by the customer. Fuel surcharges may also be applied.

International and P.O. Box Orders

Welding & Industrial Supplies only accepts orders for shipments within the continental U.S., Alaska, and Hawaii. Orders to international destinations will not be processed (see “International Shipping” section). Welding & Industrial Supplies does not ship to P.O. Box addresses.

Return Goods Authorization (RGA) Policy

Though all sales are final, Welding & Industrial Supplies accepts returns for 60 days from the invoice date for specific reasons and with certain stipulations per return reason, on a case-by-case basis.
Special orders or customized items are not returnable and such orders cannot be canceled once placed.
Only returns with assigned RGA numbers will be processed.
Shipping charges are non-refundable.
