E347-16 columbium stabilized stainless steel electrodes.

The columbium content is approximately ten times the carbon content, which reduces the possibility of intergranular carbide precipitation. E347-16 produces weld deposits with smooth bead appearance and easy slag removal.

Application

E347-16 used for the welding of types 302, 304, 321, and 347 stainless and stainless clad steels. Due to the strengthening effect of columbium, this grade is recommended if the weld metal is to be subjected to high-temperatures above 700°F.

Feature

  • Designed for welding AISI 347 and AISI 321 alloys.
  • The columbium content acts as a stabilizer and prevents carbide precipitation.
  • Offers excellent resistance to sensitization during high temperature service.
  • Delivers outstanding performance, especially for projects that require you to do a lot of out-of-position welding.
