ER630 is a precipitation hardening, martensitic stainless steel used for welding of materials of similar chemical composition.

Mechanical properties of this alloy are greatly influenced by the heat treatment. Typical applications include valves, fasteners, gears, propeller shafts, and roller chain pins.

  • A precipitation hardening grade of stainless steel used for joining materials of similar chemical composition.
  • The composition is modified to prevent the formation of ferrite networks in the martensitic microstructure which has a great effect on mechanical properties.
  • Conforms to certification: AWS A5.9 and ASME SFA A5.9.
  • Designed primarily for welding ASTM A564 type 630 and some other precipitation-hardening stainless steels.

We use a variety of carriers for shipments. Title and risk of loss pass to customer upon tender of shipment to carrier.

Shipping Policy Exceptions

Not all products qualify for the above Shipping Policy. Additionally, standard shipping rates apply for all orders delivered to Alaska and Hawaii. Any charges incurred for hazardous materials or other special handling by the carrier must be paid by the customer. Fuel surcharges may also be applied.

International and P.O. Box Orders

Welding & Industrial Supplies only accepts orders for shipments within the continental U.S., Alaska, and Hawaii. Orders to international destinations will not be processed (see “International Shipping” section). Welding & Industrial Supplies does not ship to P.O. Box addresses.

Return Goods Authorization (RGA) Policy
  • Though all sales are final, Welding & Industrial Supplies accepts returns for 60 days from the invoice date for specific reasons and with certain stipulations per return reason, on a case-by-case basis.
  • Special orders or customized items are not returnable and such orders cannot be canceled once placed.
  • Only returns with assigned RGA numbers will be processed.
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable.
