E81T1-Ni1 is a low alloy steel electrode for flux cored arc welding with external gas shielding. This electrode is intended for single and multiple pass welding, on carbon and low alloy steels requiring good charpy v-notch toughness at subzero temperatures.

E81T1-NI1 is an ideal selection for welding steels requiring good tensile strength in excess of 80,000 psi and charpy v-notch toughness (20 ft lb ƒ) as low as -40ºF. Steels welded with this electrode include ASTM A572, A302, A588, and A734 used in the fabrication of transmission poles, light poles, earth moving and mining machinery, and offshore platforms.

Feature

  • Superior low temperature CVN toughness values.
  • Smooth arc with very low spatter.
  • Fast freezing characteristics facilitate all position welding.
  • Smooth bead profile with minimum convexity.
  • This wire is used extensively in the fabrication, erection, and repair of structural fabrication of higher strength. The weld deposits are smooth and have deep penetration.
  • This wire is noted for its smooth arc and minimum spatter.
  • This wire is a rutile slag formulation flux cored wire for single or multi-pass flat or fillet welds on medium and heavy thickness
  • It is known for its high disposition rates, low spatter generation, ease of slag removal, and excellent weld bead appearance.
  • This wire can be used on machinery, shipbuilding, offshore structures, bridges and general fabrications.
